At Bloc, we are deeply committed to protecting our community and ensuring the safety and well-being of everyone who uses our app. Our aim is not only to provide a platform for connection and engagement, but also to serve as a positive and enriching space where our viewers feel comfortable, confident, and valued. To achieve this, we focus on creating a supportive environment that prioritises both the physical and psychological health of our community.
We have a zero-tolerance policy for ads that promote, depict, glorify, endorse, or document suicide, self-harm, or dangerous behaviours which may lead to these.
This includes content that:
Encourages or incites suicidal thoughts or actions
Depicts or provides instructions or methods related to suicide or self-harm and related challenges
Depicts, sensationalises, or promotes hoaxes about suicide or self-harm
Portrays self-harm in a way that normalises, glamorises, or trivialises it
Features descriptions or plans for suicide or self-harm
Portrays or romanticises suicidal thoughts or behaviours as admirable, aspirational, or desirable, including idolising real or fictional individuals solely because they have experienced suicidal ideation
We may allow educational content from fully vetted organisations, such as government organisations and humanitarian non-governmental organisations (NGOs), whose aim is to share information on suicide and self-harm prevention and offer support to vulnerable users.
If you or someone you know is struggling, support is available. Reach out to a suicide prevention helpline or contact emergency services.
