Bangladesh: About Value Added Tax (VAT)

Last updated October 2026

Taxes may apply to your purchase of Bloc Ads depending on your billing location and tax information provided to Bloc, unless otherwise agreed.

Thundersnow Pte. Ltd. ("Bloc") has registered as a Non-Resident Digital Service Provider in Bangladesh. Effective 8 June 2026, Bloc will charge 15% Value-Added Tax ("VAT") on advertising services provided to customers in Bangladesh who do not provide a valid Bangladesh Business Identification Number ("BIN").

If you are a business customer in Bangladesh, you should provide a valid Bangladesh BIN to Bloc. Customers that provide a valid Bangladesh BIN will generally not be charged VAT on invoices issued by Bloc and may instead be required to self-assess and remit VAT directly to the National Board of Revenue ("NBR") under local tax rules.

Once a valid BIN is provided, Bloc will no longer charge VAT on future invoices. Bloc will not retrospectively adjust invoices issued before the BIN is provided. If invalid tax information is provided or account information is misrepresented, Bloc reserves the right to charge and collect VAT on prior invoices where applicable.

Note: Bloc is unable to provide tax advice. Please consult your tax advisor or local tax authority if you have any questions regarding your tax obligations.
