How to set up a Venue & Event Check-In campaign

Tip: Jump straight into Bloc Ads Manager with the Venue & Event Check-In objective selected. Then follow steps 5 - 16 to complete setup.

  1. Go to Bloc Ads Manager.

  2. Click the Campaigns tab.

  3. Click Create to create an ad campaign.

  4. Select Venue & Event Check-In as the advertising objective.

  5. Input a suitable campaign name under Settings.

    • We suggest you include Check-In in the title.

  6. Click Continue.

  7. Input your Ad group name.

  8. Select the appropriate buying type.

  9. Choose your venue from the drop-down list when you search for it.

  10. Choose your ad placement.

    • Automatic placement, or eligible placement for some customers, will show your ad across multiple placements, such as Bloc and Bloc Ad Network, where available.

    • Select placement, also accessed with the pencil icon, limits your ad to show on selected placement only.

  11. Select your audience targeting mode under Targeting.

    • We suggest using Automatic Targeting to keep the audience broad. Select your target Location(s) and languages.

  12. Select a Daily budget under Budget and Schedule.

    • Upper and mid-funnel events: Greater than or equal to 20 times historic CPA.

    • Lower-funnel events: Greater than or equal to 10 times historic CPA for lower-funnel events.

    • Schedule setting can be based on your preference and strategy.

  13. Select your optimisation goal under Bidding and Optimisation.

  14. Select your bid strategy under Bidding and Optimisation:

    • Target Cost per Result: sets a bid and controls cost.

      • For Target Cost per Result bid amount, please refer to the historical event CPA.

    • Maximum Results: lets the system choose the bid and maximise the daily ad group budget.
